About The Role

Bell has an immediate opportunity for an IT Support Engineer as part of a close knit, busy IT function. This role is based full time in our Cambridge office with occasional travel to our other two sites and in the summer months, an additional 4 sites. This would ideally suit someone with some experience in IT Helpdesk who is technical and wants to develop their 2nd line skills, or someone with 1st and 2nd line experience seeking a new challenge.

This is a diverse role, covering 1st and 2nd line support. You will respond to calls from the helpdesk, while also providing 2nd line support to our school and office environments. This includes:

  • Supporting the end user desktop environment, including using SCCM and TeamViewer.
  • Building desktops/laptops/virtual PC’s and tablets.
  • Visiting our teaching sites to proactively support education equipment such as projectors, interactive whiteboards etc.
  • Administration and support of our VoIP Cloud phone system.
  • Mobile phone provision, support and administration.
  • Supporting business applications including, Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, Class and MS Office 365.

About You

As the first point of contact for the business it is important that the IT Support Engineer can provide excellent customer services while also having a strong technical foundation.

This role would ideally suit someone with a passion for IT Services and a desire to learn. You will be mentored by experienced IT professionals to further develop your second line skills and have the opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of technologies. Your days will be diverse, everything from taking support calls through to carrying out backups with Microsoft DPM.
