About The Role

Bell is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to manage the recruitment of staff for Bell’s Young Learner Centres. The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing the recruitment of approximately 100-150 temporary staff annually. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a volume recruitment project from beginning to end.
You will gain valuable experience in the fast-moving and exciting sector of international education and see the results of your work in action changing the lives of young people. This role would suit someone who has previously worked in an HR or recruitment related role, or an agency recruiter looking to develop their career inhouse in recruitment and HR.
Main Responsibilities Include: 

Coordinating recruitment campaigns from initial planning stage to candidates starting in post, including:

  • Project planning
  • Preparing and posting job adverts
  • Developing the recruitment management system to effectively support and enhance the recruitment process
  • Monitoring applications and screening candidates
  • Scheduling and carrying out interviews and making post-interview recommendations
  • Ensuring all contractual documents are issued and completed
  • Processing references and DBS checks
  • Coordinating centre staff employment dates
  • Carrying out all pre-employment checks and organising staff schedules in preparation for the centres opening
  • Ensuring that recruitment consistently achieves the standard set out in British Council/English UK guidelines
  • Visiting sites to support, monitor and evaluate the success of the recruitment campaign

About You

Essential Requirements: 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience with recruitment including screening and interviewing
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Highly organised
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and able to take initiative
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Requirements 
  • Working towards CIPD or a Degree in an HR related subjected
  • Experience working in a school orother education setting
  • Experience of carrying out HR pre-employment checks (e.g. right to work checks, references etc.)
  • Experience in processing background checks including DBS and police checks
  • Experience dealing with high volume recruitment
