About The Role

For over 40 years Bell has offered a range of outstanding Young Learner Programmes to overseas students aged 7 – 17. These unparalleled courses combine academic excellence with an exciting cultural and social programme and provide students with a unique experience and exceptional care.

We are now looking to recruit enthusiastic, dedicated and responsible Student Services Directors for our Young Learner Courses running at our UK Summer Schools.  

Student Services Directors are responsible for managing the Houseparent team and the course administration staff to ensure high levels of service and pastoral care, organising study tours, coordinating transport and managing accommodation and catering provision at the host schools.

Our schools provide both staff and children with excellent premises and facilities and we offer accommodation, meals and professional development opportunities.

Bell Young Learner courses operate from the following locations:

  • St Albans, Hertfordshire
  • The Leys, Cambridge
  • Tudor Hall, Oxford

About You

Essential:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Boarding House Management
  • Pastoral/welfare experience
  • Team leadership/people management 
  • Working in a residential environment
  • Working with children
  • Proficiency in time management
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Office administration experience
  • Counselling skills
  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer service
  • Leadership skills
  • Time management/able to multi task & work to deadlines
  • IT Literate
  • Applicants MUST be eligible to work in the UK
Desirable:
  • Premises and facilities management experience
  • Stock control experience
  • Previous management experience on a young learner course
  • Safeguarding training
  • First Aid
  • Full Driving Licence

  • We do not accept DBS Checks undertaken by other organisations (unless you are on the update service) and so a new application will be requested at a cost of £46.94, this will be deducted from your first salary payment
