For over 40 years Bell has offered a range of outstanding Young Learner Programmes to overseas students aged 7 – 17. These unparalleled courses combine academic excellence with an exciting cultural and social programme and provide students with a unique experience and exceptional care.
We are now looking to recruit registered nurses to run a 2 hour drop in clinic for students on a daily rota basis for our Young Learner schools running between June and August 2023.
Our School Nurse will provide a high level of health care and support to the students during their stay. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing the clinic/sanatorium area, including arrangements with the Centre Manager for the use of medical supplies and access to equipment
- Holding regular clinics for our students (age 7-17) to treat minor complaints and deliver first aid
- Advising on the need for additional medical intervention
- Providing general nursing care, such as dressing of wounds and treatment of injuries and overall care
- Monitoring ongoing medical conditions of our students
- Advising the pastoral team on medical conditions
- Administering treatment prescribed for students
- Keeping up to date and accurate records
- Ensuring that medication brought by a student matches information on the registration form and that it is legal in the UK
Working autonomously, you will need to be able to manage your own workload effectively, and you will receive support from the Student Services Director and Centre Manager.
Bell Young Learner courses operate from the following locations:
