About The Role

Are you a dynamic leader, with the ability to energise and motivate a team to deliver an exceptional student activity programme? Do you have a talent for engaging students and creating unforgettable activity experiences and immersive learning opportunities? If this sounds like you, we’d love you to join our team of Activity Directors working in one our four UK based residential young learner courses this summer.

As an Activity Director, you will:

  • Ensure the activity program is delivered to the highest standard, efficiency and student satisfaction.
  • Take responsibility for health and safety and welfare issues related to the activity programme, ensuring robust risk assessments are in place.
  • Ensure the supervision and discipline of students, fostering an environment that encourages full participation.
  • Lead and motivate the activity team, overseeing the planning and leading of sessions.
  • Induct and manage the activity team, providing support and guidance to Activity Leaders regarding resources and session content.
  • Lead sessions and provide supervision as required, ensuring the effective delivery of the activity programme.
  • Be on call and respond to emergencies as they arise, demonstrating quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure the well-being and safeguarding of students is prioritised at all times.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

Leaders You can organise a team and large groups of students, using clear, effective and engaging communication skills

Enthusiastic You are passionate about working with young people and bring enthusiasm and energy to teamwork.

Creative You bring innovative and fun ideas to make activities enjoyable and educational.

Responsible You consistently prioritise the safety and well-being of our young learners and keep safeguarding at the heart of everything you do.

Culturally sensitive You demonstrate an understanding of cultural differences and ensure an inclusive and respectful environment.

We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in any of the following areas:

  • Previous management experience in a school/sports/learning or residential environment
  • Sport or coaching qualifications and experience
  • Sports/arts and crafts/drama teaching experience
  • Safeguarding knowledge and experience
  • First Aid qualification
