About The Role

Bell is recruiting a permanent full time Learning and Teaching Manager to join our small team at our boutique modern central London school a short walk from Borough Market, Tate Modern, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

You may already be a Senior Teacher or Assistant Director of Studies and have no management experience, but a passion for keeping abreast of the latest in teaching practice and experience of delivering inspiring CPD sessions is more important. You will also continue to stay at the forefront of teaching practice with your own teaching schedule, acting as an exemplar of excellent teaching, and continuing to develop as a teaching professional.

You will take on responsibilities for the quality of course delivery and ensuring that students maximise their learning. Overtime you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing a small team of experienced temporary and permanent EFL teachers.

As part of the school management team, you will have the opportunity to learn about, and start to share responsibility for areas of the business beyond just academic management, including safeguarding, keyholding, and emergency student support.

You will participate in our Education Steering Committee, working alongside academic managers from different part of the business, including our Head of Education Silvana Richardson. Together you will develop and implement ambitious plans for our teaching and learning rooted in the principles of The Bell Way.

This is school based role requiring a physical presence onsite rather than being a hybrid or WFH position.

Bell is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. A DBS check will be requested in the event of a successful application.
