About The Role

Are you a passionate and qualified EFL Teacher with an ability to engage young learners? Can you create and teach captivating lessons that motivate students? Do you thrive in a team environment? If this sounds like you, we’d love you to join our talented team of EFL Teachers, teaching juniors on our residential young learner course at Tudor Hall School in Oxfordshire this summer. As a residential Teacher, you’ll not only deliver high-quality English lessons but also live on-site to help create a supportive, safe, and fun environment for our students. You'll engage with students outside of class, participate in excursions, and contribute to evening and weekend activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English lessons to students aged 7-11, delivering engaging, interactive lessons based on our curriculum.
  • Assess students’ progress through placement testing, provide feedback, and tailor lessons to meet varying English proficiency levels from A1 – C2.
  • Participate in and supervise various recreational, social, and cultural activities.
  • Act as a mentor and support students, promoting an English-speaking environment both in and out of the classroom.
  • Ensure student welfare and safety, following safeguarding protocols at all times.
  • Complete associated admin tasks such as preparing the classroom, maintaining notice boards and packing and unpacking academic resources.
  • Assist with house duties, including supervising mealtimes and morning wake-up calls.

About You

Teachers must be qualified as follows:

  • CELTA/ Trinity TESOL Certificate or QTS in a related subject specialism such as modern languages, English or a Primary QTS 
  • Degree or equivalent

*Courses must be externally validated, contain at least six hours teaching practice and a minimum of 100 hours of ELT/TESOL input. Applicants who have completed 100% online courses will not be considered.

We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • Experience teaching juniors
  • Project-based teaching
  • Teaching mixed nationality groups
  • Teaching on a residential course
  • Delta/Trintiy DipTESOL qualified

If you don’t have experience in the above but hold the relevant teaching qualifications we are still keen to hear from you. If you can develop and deliver inspiring and engaging lessons and create an immersive English language experience for our students, you will make a great EFL Teacher!
