About The Role

This customer focussed role is responsible for delivering a range of services for our students covering academic information systems, student information and administrative processes.
 
Main Responsibilities: 
 
  • To coordinate effectively with colleagues internally and externally
  • Be responsible for keeping the specific sections of Bell Online up to date
  • Managing academic and office administration including:
    • Accommodation queries and bookings
    • Changes to student bookings on CLASS
    • Exam administration
    • Producing lists, reports and certificates as required
    • Student status letters, bank letters and certificates of enrolment
    • Responsible for collecting, storing and updating student personal information
  • Communicating with students about Language in Action events and producing posters as necessary. 
  • On occasion lead Language in Action events (inc. Saturdays or evenings)
  • Responsible for the everyday tidiness of reception and common areas of the school.
  • Deal with all enquiries and visitor administration 
  • Assist the Principal in Facilities Management matters
  • Responsible for the opening and/or closing of premises and be a key holder
  • Responsible for all matters relating to the vending machines.
  • Cover for the Principal during times of absence. 
  • Be a First Aider and Fire Warden following training.

About You

 Essential 
 
  • A levels of equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Customer Service skills
  • Professional, responsible and reliable
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Thorough with good attention to detail
  • Good people skills
  • Ability to increase hours to full-time to cover colleagues holidays and work occasional Saturdays.
Desirable 
 
  • Degree
  • First Aid Qualification
  • Any safeguarding (child protection) training/qualifications
  • Dealing with adults of limited English ability
  • Receptionist experience
  • Strong face to face customer service background in a commercial organisation
  • Experience of working computer databases.
