About The Role

Bell is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Residential EFL Teacher to join our Young Learners team, specialising in the education of children aged 7-11. This exciting opportunity involves planning and delivering engaging English language lessons, supervising students during their residential stay, and supporting their overall welfare and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Academic Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and teach creative, age-appropriate lessons, including classroom and study tours.
  • Conduct placement testing, assessments, and provide timely feedback on student progress.
  • Develop and utilize teaching resources aligned with course objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare certificates, and contribute to academic projects.

    Student Welfare:

  • Supervise students' attendance, behaviour, and participation in activities.
  • Ensure student safety during excursions, activities, and throughout the residential experience.
  • Fulfil pastoral duties, including meal and house supervision, and manage arrival/departure processes.

General Duties:

  • Actively promote a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement in activities.
  • Attend and contribute to academic and departmental meetings.
  • Comply with safeguarding principles and uphold the highest standards of child welfare.

About You

Essential:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CELTA or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching young learners and producing teaching materials.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • IT literacy, including familiarity with tools like interactive whiteboards.

Desirable:

  • PGCE, QTS or DELTA qualifications.
  • Experience in residential summer schools or similar settings.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Interest in extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, or drama.
  • First Aid certification and a full driving license.

This is a residential role requiring a proactive approach to academic and welfare responsibilities. Candidates should be passionate about working with young learners in a dynamic, supportive environment.
