About The Role

As the Activity Director, you will design, coordinate, and oversee a diverse range of activities that enrich the cultural, social, and recreational experience of our young learner students aged 7-17. Your role is pivotal in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and unforgettable summer experience while living on-site to help create a supportive, safe and fun environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Design: Plan and develop a dynamic calendar of activities, including sports, arts & crafts, team-building exercises, and evening events.
  • Team Leadership: Induct and manage a team of activity leaders, ensuring high standards of delivery and professionalism throughout the course.
  • Student Engagement: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel inspired, engaged, and valued.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations, providing robust risk assessments.
  • Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment and onsite activity facilities ensuring all equipment and apparatus are fit for use.
  • Feedback & Improvement: Gather and analyse feedback from students and staff to continuously enhance the activity program.
  • Student Wellbeing: Ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of students is prioritised at all times.

About You

  • Experience: Proven track record in activity coordination, event management, or related fields; experience working with young learners in a camp, school or similar setting is desired.
  • Leadership: Exceptional organisation and leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating teams.
  • Energy & Enthusiasm – A vibrant personality with a genuine passion for working with young learner students.
  • Cultural Awareness – Ability to engage and communicate effectively with students from multicultural and diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility – Comfortable working in a face-paced unpredictable residential environment that requires creative problem solving and occasional on call work.
  • Qualifications: First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is desired.
